Less than perfect credit is not the black mark it used to be, even
if you have been turned down for a loan in the past, or been told
you carry too much debt. We can help you get the mortgage you want
when other lenders can't!
When deciding to grant you a loan, all lenders make a judgment
about character (your willingness to repay), capacity (your ability
to pay) and collateral (the value of what you are buying or refinancing).
There are several tools that aid lenders in making this judgment,
including automated credit or risk/credit scores (also known as
FICO). In some cases, these scores replace human decision-making.
As a result, separate lenders can look at the same loan and view
the same credit risk differently.
At your credit union's Mortgage Resource Center, we look at your whole financial situation. We specialize
in creating bright futures, not lecturing you about your past. Contrary
to popular belief, good credit does not necessarily mean perfect
credit. If your credit report shows any 60 to 90 day late payments
you may need to seek out a lender that specializes in less than
perfect credit -- like your credit union's Mortgage Resource Center.
Mortgage lenders deal with money all day long, perhaps explaining
why they seem to see everyone as a number. Consumers are often reduced
to a credit score, a paycheck, or a number of delinquent payments.
In their tidy little equations, lenders leave no room for interpretation,
explanation or exceptions. Most lenders that is...but NOT your credit union's Mortgage Resource Center.
Although our loan decisions are based on more than numbers, some
numbers are incredibly helpful- to you. Like how much you can save
monthly by having all your bills in one monthly payment, how much
cash you can receive from your new Mortgage Resource Center home loan. If you're
financing or refinancing a current mortgage, we work with you to
change your financial future.
